Combinations of medicines often yield better results than either single agent alone and also help us to remember to take our pills by changing two pills into a single dose! Kombiglyze XR (metrofmin XR plus saxagliptin) is the newest diabetes drug to enter the market, but shows greqat promise by using two different ways of acting to help keep blood sugar inder control. More clinical trials are needed to show the degree of benefits, but the combination offers great hope for tighter control.
