Gintuit- the first cell-based FDA approval for mucogingival problems
The FDA has approved Gintuit, the first cell-based treatment for mucogingival (mouth and gum) use such as for after gum surgery product. The name is Gintuit and it is a combination of allogenic (not related to the recipient) cells and bovine albumin. While the exact way that it works is not clearly defined, it appears that factors are released which help the situation. More will be written as the data unfolds.
