Heart health/fewer heart attacks from Contrave, a weight loss drug?

Interesting data from an interim look at Contrave (bupropion plus naltrexone). In a follow up study of 8,910 people, not only did they lose weight, but they had fewer heart attacks. This is an interim analysis and controversy follows the release as it was seen with only 25% of the study finished.

What is very very interesting is that researchers thought that this benefit was a direct effect of the two-drug combination. More to follow as always...

Visit www.fda.gov for more from their perspective and the company name is Orexigen. I will be putting Contrave in the upcoming Essential Guide to Prescription Drugs. Feel free to visit my author page on amazon: https://www.amazon.com/author/jamesrybacki
